Guide Rail

Eastern Fence is the largest installer of highway guide rail systems in Atlantic Canada. Our guide rail products meet all Department of Transportation specifications and AASHTO M180-89.

Eastern Fence will also provide guide rail products and services for commercial parking lots and access control solutions.

Energy Absorbing Guide Rail Terminal Systems are used in various traffic safety situations. Our certified installers and sales representatives are able to provide design information and specifications as well as inspection services upon request.

Wildlife Fence and Wildlife Gates

Our wildlife gates — or deer gates as they are sometimes referred to — are a one-way ungulate gate used to control animal movement. They allow moose, deer, elk and other wildlife to exit the highway side of a wildlife fence (should they travel around the end of the fence), while preventing wildlife from entering through the opening. Our deer gates are made from hot-dipped galvanized steel, and can be mounted on steel or wood posts. The gates are spring-loaded, come complete with grease fittings, and are protected by a neoprene boot to stop water or ice penetration.

Impact Attenuators

Eastern Fence is experienced in the supply, installation and repair of crash attenuators for a variety of applications with multiple products available that meet NCHRP Report 350, Test Levels 2 and 3. Designed to reduce the damage to motor vehicles during a collision, crash attenuators absorb the kinetic energy from the errant vehicle and disperse it and/or direct the vehicle away from a hazard. Many available models are reusable after most types of crashes.
